Make shopping click, supermarkets urged

This article is talking about the Coles and Woolworths iPhone app recently released so shoppers can buy online and even scan bar-codes to add to shopping lists. This would be one of the latest technology that the supermarket giants have embraced recently. Part of this is that they have to keep up with forever changing technology to keep up sales and stay fresh. This all relates to the promoting and selling topic, part of promotion is utilising many different avenues, like TV, news papers, billboards, and in this case they are using the technologies of smart phones to promote their service. This also makes the major supermarkets available to more people more of the time. Like in the 4 P's of marketing this is targeting placement- as learnt in commerce.
